HR MANAGEMENT: WHERE GOING 19

In my clime there is a poplar saying: "Silence means consent" For more than four months, weekly, I have discussed Pervasive Ignorance in HR Management and no one said anything, which means everything I posted were the gospel truth, and not Hocus Pocus. Pervasive Ignorance in HR Management manifests in such reactions as:- - Like. - Yeah. - Correct. - Hmmm. For the IHRP, a contrary reaction to their post elicits annoyance and even insults. In the next several weeks, I shall be sharing with you my personal HR Management challenges/problems in a general area I have tagged Micro HR Management.

HR MANAGEMENT: WHERE GOING 18

For HR Practitioners the C.V. is a tool for personal quality marketing. If this assertion is correct, then what you see around as C.Vs are de-marketing tools  WHY? - Most CVs are glugged with irrelevant information that would not sell candidates to recruiting managers. - More than half of typical CVs contain information that are not verifiable, but self claims that amount to nothing. - Irrespective of job adverts, the same VVs are sent by applicants. For example, my recent advert for a Human Resources Manager, although, the advert was quite unusual, the CVs I got were in the same format of the CV I wrote in the 1980s. The point is that Pervasive Ignorance in HR Management is being manifested by improper CVs.

HR MANAGEMENT: WHERE GOING 17

In continuation of our discussion of Pervasive Ignorance in HR Management, I today share with you the summary of a discussion in a grassroot HR platform. The Chairman of the group announced a Knowledge sharing session to discuss how HR Professionals can build a sustainable health insurance for employees. An elder in the group suggested that the group try Experience sharing for a change. A former chairman of the group offered to join the beloved elder at the table to treat the topic and believed that the Excos could work on it. Another former Exco member said experience sharing was a great idea. Another member said she was looking forward to the all important session. While thanking the elder for sharing his thought, the chairman expressed the wish that it would be great if more HR Professionals in the group join the online session and share their personal experiences using HMOs. He stated that the quest speaker has very vast experience in the healthcare insurance sector. Off the group

HR MANAGEMENT: WHERE GOING 16

Last week Friday 3rd June, 2022, I made an advert for a Human Resources Manager and my final instruction was: "ACTION If your answer to the above questions is YES, Send your two-page C.V. chronicling your verifiable achievements till date including a WhatsApp number to either: reasonnabilittis@yahoo.com OR sam@samo.com.ng The responses I got exposed two other drivers of Pervasive Ignorance in HR Management. They are: - Inability to read. - Incapacity to follow instructions. HOW? - All C.Vs failed the number of pages. - All C.Vs failed to provide till date chronicle of verifiable achievements. - All applicants were addressing a non-existent organization. - Of the over 40 C.Vs I received  as at 7th June, 2022, over 35, I had to throw away. The conclusion here is that a majority of current HR Practitioners lack the ability and capacity to read and follow instructions, hence, I hereby award them IHRP ( Ignorant Human Resources Practitioners). Another Pervasive Ignorance in HR Managem

HR MANAGEMENT: WHERE GOING 15

While still sharing on Pervasive Ignorance in HR Management, there is an international dictum which states, "Think Global and Act Local". This is totally rejected by the vocal IHRP in my clime insisting that you must Think Global and Act global. Consequent upon their large followership, it does appears that all hopes are lost. However, the good news is that a major blow was delivered against them recently. In May, 2022, the President and Chairman of Council of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), in a television program finish the IHRP finished by rekindling our hope that Ignorance has not totally taken over. HOW? He said that: 1. The CIPM is the only body backed by law to regulate the management of people at work in Nigeria by Act 58 of 1992. Anyone involved in people management at work in Nigeria, who is not a member of CIPM is a Quack. 2. CIPM is globally recognized and linked with other people at work management bodies. That at entry levels,
