HR ON EXTINCTION MODE 4

An ISOKO adage says that "When looking for the eye of the fish, you go to its head". For HR to exit the Extinction Mode, we must of necessity go to the Regulatory body, hereinafter called the Regulator.  A desperate situation requires desperate measures. Without any explanation, I share what needs to be done. Those who do not understand, are all outsiders of the HR Profession.  The measures are:  - Diligent regulation of the profession.  - Profession-based Advocacy not the current Stomach Infrastructure based advocacy.  - Shut the door of the Profession against all outsiders, that is those without academic HR qualifications.  - Diligent Leadership recruitment to the leadership of the Regulator. For a start, the President and the Registrar.  - Stop all none experienced based knowledge sharing.  - Kill all Aping in the profession.  - Set up a hardcore academic hands-on professional committee to handle social media HR charlatans.  - Review the Regulators diploma to reflect the

HR ON EXTINCTION MODE 3

In continuation of the character traits of modern HR Professionals, working towards the extinction of the profession,  we wish to state that:  Wisdom is the correct application of knowledge.  Currently, wisdom is lacking consequent upon lack of knowledge. The pervasive lack of wisdom has led to a massive resistance to Experience Sharing.  You cannot give what you do not have. My students at Ikeja PPCA Study Center between 2007 and 2009, told me that my practical examples in Advanced Industrial Relations were too fantastic to be true.  Secondly, Aping. They just want to cut/copy and paste anything they see online. To the extent that I had a running battle with them between 2019 and 2022, that in Nigeria, we practice Industrial Relations and not Employee Relations by our subsisting labour laws. We share hereunder some character traits of modern HR Practitioners working towards the extinction of the profession. Firstly, They lack HR academic qualifications. Very many modern HR Professionals have no HR academic training. They are Chance HR Practitioners. They tried to overcome this shortfall by acquiring Institutional Professional diplomas, CAC Professional qualifications, and finally, Social Media HR qualifications.  Secondly,  Many modern HR Practitioners do not read. They claim to be so busy that they do not read any material put out there. You hardly find them reacting to any shared Content.  Thirdly, They are always involved in Knowledge Sharing. Knowledge, they will not be able to apply in their work environments. Of what use inapplicable knowledge acquired?  Fourthly,  They operate near absolute Nepotism. They are not the most qualified for the positions they currently occupy. In their recruitment exercises,  they follow how they got in.  During my active work life, in a

HR ON EXTINCTION MODE 1

There are certain things being done or not being done by modern HR Practitioners that tend to indicate that the HR Profession is on a high speed to extinction.  Firstly, Some HR Professionals are leaving more strategic roles for transactional roles. For example, how would an HR Professional give up Salary Administration for Pay Roll? There may be only two possible reasons, which are:  - Ignorance or  - Instinct of collection - being interested in uncollected wages.  Secondly, HR Professionals giving up the preparation of offers of employment letters. Of recent, offer letters are being prepared by Lawyers and given to HR Professionals to sign without understanding the legal constructions by these lawyers for incomes in the future through litigations. The unfortunate situation is that some HR Professionals are defending the unwholesome practice.  The point being made is that some HR Practitioners are already surrendering some of their core functions to Accountants and Lawyers.  From nex
