For HR Practitioners the C.V. is a tool for personal quality marketing. If this assertion is correct, then what you see around as C.Vs are de-marketing tools
WHY?
- Most CVs are glugged with irrelevant information that would not sell candidates to recruiting managers.
- More than half of typical CVs contain information that are not verifiable, but self claims that amount to nothing.
- Irrespective of job adverts, the same VVs are sent by applicants. For example, my recent advert for a Human Resources Manager, although, the advert was quite unusual, the CVs I got were in the same format of the CV I wrote in the 1980s.
The point is that Pervasive Ignorance in HR Management is being manifested by improper CVs.
