COVID-19 came with all her disruptions to work. However, the Charlatans took the coping mechanism as a normal work even after the situation has return almost to status quo amte.  The very few loud charlatans who work in service organizations never allowed those who cannot work remote by the nature of their unique operations were made to feel like subhuman essentially because they wish to feel belonged to the new so-called normal.  I like to appeal to you all to allow me start this Content from the conclusion by put on you the burden of my ignorance of computer and AI that they are strictly for data management.  When a profession has too many charlatans, it becomes fatigued by Fads. In discussing KSS and ESS today, I like to conclude that the absence of Fathers to look up to has made KSS to fester in the HR Profession propelled by charlatanism. Let us assume and correctly that those in this HR Profession have basic qualifications in Human Resources. However, the opposite seems to be the case. What now happens in the smallest unit is involved in Knowledge Sharing Sections. I dare say, this is the handiwork of charlatans. When some of us joined the Institute in the early 1990s, with relevant educational qualifications, we needed practical guidance which we lacked, which can only be provided by the Fathers.  Any profession with a large number of vocal Charlatans will be plagued by Fads. Today, we wish to look at the Fad of Employee Relations vs Industrial Relations. I fought a loosing battle with these charlatans between 2016 and 2020, that in Nigeria, we practice Industrial Relations and not Employees Relations. I did tell them that where there are Trade Unions, what you practice is Industrial Relations. I pointed out to them that Section 20 of the Labour Act ( the principal Act) created both the Employees and the Industrial Relations Models. At a point in time when one Union was on a nation-wide strike, these charlatans told me there were no Trade Unions in Nigeria.  Today, I wish to start the discussion with a pervasive statement that is at the same time controversial. That any profession with a large number of charlatans is plagued by FADS. FADS come by a few noisy charlatans who take upon themselves the "toga" of Influencers, Coaches and Mentors who have some knowledge of computer and start throwing words around. Let us look at three words that have been thrown around with relatively the same Content. These are :- - Manpower Planning and Development - Succession Planing - Talent Management In the main, all three concepts are dealing with the right numbers, right skills and right experience available now and the near future to maintain the functioning of the organization.
