HR PRACTICE ACCROSS CENTURIES 2

I once attended an interview for the post of Human Resources/ Personnel Manager. When the opportunity came, I asked the panel whether the position for which I was being interviewed as advertised was a printer's devil, to which I was told NO My attempt to reason with the panel that Human Resources/ Administration Manager was more like it, was flatly rejected. When I further asked for the difference between Human Resources  Manager and Personnel Manager, the panel had no answer. Professionals, would you say the company was right and if so, what would be the content difference of this job?

HR PTACTICE ACCROSS CENTURIES 1

The Preacher says: "The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be: and there is no new thing under the sun". HR Practice experience can be classified into three categories viz: - 20th century only - 21st century only -20th & 21st centuries combined. While category three will have more to say, the question really is, is there any difference between the two centuries especially with regard to content? Let us discuss please.
