A few weeks back, one of my connections posted on the need for improvement by HR Professionals and Recruiters as regards the Recruitment Process and went ahead to identify five critical areas of improvement. - Recruiters must honour commitments stating that failure to do so damages the reputation of the organization. When you invited people for interview, you must not fail to show up. - Be transparent about budget constraints. Do not reject candidates because of salary demands. - Respect candidates time, punctuality matters. You must not delay candidates due to your lack of organization. - Remember that the interview process is the building of relationships and not doing anyone favours. - Provide closure. Ghosting candidates is unprofessional and harmful. Finally, we should create recruitment process that reflects mutual respect and professionalism.
